One of the most powerful marketing tools out there is finding your niche. Once you have found it, put your stamp on it and thrown it out there for the world to see your work is halfway done. When thinking of some of the most successful brands out there, what is it about them that makes them so special? What makes them stand out from the rest of the crowd? Branding your company, that is, putting a signature on it, setting it far apart from any other is the key to your success. Think about the golden arches, the black and white panda or the yellow and red shell logo that we often see out and about. Not only are they everywhere, but people all over the world recognise these brands, whether due to their colour, symbol or font.

So how do you go about creating this signature? The simple answer is that you need a story. With your story, you can go on and devise something that is authentic and hopefully something that creates a relationship between you and your customer.


Make it thought provoking

Your story has to be captivating, out of the ordinary, charming or provocative and has to somehow stimulate conversation or pull at people’s emotions.


Make it authentic

Your story has to be genuine. It cannot appear phony or as though you are trying too hard. There must be substance behind your message in order for individuals to stand behind it.


Make it relatable

When people feel as though they can relate to your story, or even see themselves in your message, they are more likely to accept it and attach to it on an emotional level.

Marketing gurus have all come to the same conclusion when it comes to gaining world recognition. Finding your niche, telling your story and in turn creating your brand and sticking to it is the path to your success. Make it iconic and simple, yet easy to distinguish and most importantly, one to remember.
